License Key Setup Guide

The screen is from FLEXSCHE version 21.1. Depending on the version you use, the actual screen may differ. If you have any questions about the operation method, please contact FLEXSCHE Corporation.
1. Install FLEXSCHE on the machine where FLEXSCHE will be executed.
Install FLEXSCHE on the machine where FLEXSCHE will be executed. (If FLEXSCHE is already installed,proceed to "2. Set up the CM Runtime on the machine where FLEXSCHE will be executed.".)

2. Set up the CM Runtime on the machine where FLEXSCHE will be executed
Set up the CM Runtime on the machine where FLEXSCHE will be executed.
Launch FLEXSCHE from the FLEXSCHE shortcut key.
Please click on [Set up the license].
When the license setup is displayed, click on [Install Driver].
Select the appropriate license in [Select License].
Click on [Download] next to [CM Runtime]. [CodeMeterRuntime.exe] will be downloaded.
Launch [CodeMeterRuntime.exe]. When the screen appears, click [Next].
After reviewing the license agreement, check [I agree to the license agreement] and click [Next].
Select the desired installation destination and click [Next].
Click [Next].
Click [Install]. The installation will begin.
Once the installation is complete, click [Finish]. This completes the setup of the CM Runtime.
3. License Configuration
The procedure differs depending on whether you set up the license on the same machine where FLEXSCHE is executed or on a separate license server. Please select the appropriate option.
Set up the license on the same machine where FLEXSCHE is executed
The procedure differs for hardware keys and software keys. Please select the appropriate option.
Set up the hardware key
Insert the license key
Launch FLEXSCHE, open [About] from [Help], and confirm that the license information has been updated. This completes the license setup.
Set up the software key
The procedure differs depending on whether you can connect to the internet. If you cannot connect to the internet, select to authenticate the license using the license update file.
Authenticate the license via the internet
Please have the license activation file (.wbb) delivered at the time of product delivery ready.
Click on [License Key Updater].
Select [Activate Software Key License] and click [Next].
Click [Browse], select the license activation file (.wbb) sent by FLEXSCHE Corporation at the time of delivery, and click [Execute]. Click [Finish] and close the License Key Updater.
Launch FLEXSCHE, open [About] from [Help], and confirm that the license information has been updated. This completes the license setup.
* If you cannot connect to the internet
Authenticate the license using the license update file
Please have the license activation file (.wbb) delivered at the time of product delivery ready.
Launch [CodeMeter Control Center] from the Start Menu, select [Import License] from [File]. Select the [License Activation File (.wbb)] and click [Import].
Return to the [License Setup] screen of FLEXSCHE and click on [License Key Updater].
Select [Create Related Files for License Information] and click [Next].
Select [Create License Request File] and click [Execute]. Click [Finish] to close the License Key Updater dialog.
Send an email with the following content to FLEXSCHE Corporation to obtain the license update file.

Subject: Request for License Update File
Body: Please include the following items.
Company Name:
Contact Person:
Phone Number:
License Number:
Attachment: License Request File
Service Hours
10:00-17:30 (Excluding weekends, holidays, and year-end/New Year holidays specified by FLEXSCHE Corporation)
Once you receive the license update file from FLEXSCHE Corporation, click on [License Key Updater] again to launch it.
Select [Update License Information] and click [Next].
Select the license update file from [Browse] and click the [Execute] button. Click the [Finish] button to exit the License Key Updater.
Launch FLEXSCHE, open [About] from [Help], and confirm that the license information has been updated. This completes the license setup.
Set up a different machine as the license server from the machine where FLEXSCHE is executed

[1] Set up the License Key Updater on the machine that will be the license server
Select [Download] next to the License Key Updater on the machine where FLEXSCHE is executed. [LicensekeyUpdater.zip] will be downloaded.
From here, operate the machine that will be the license server.
Extract the downloaded [LicensekeyUpdater.zip] on the machine that will be the license server.
Double-click [make_shortcuts_here.vbs] inside the folder.
[Admin manuals], [LicensekeyUpdater], and [SetupHelper] will be generated inside the folder.
Run [SetUpHelper] and select [Set up new].
Select the appropriate license key.
[2] Set up the CM Runtime on the machine that will be the license server
Click [Install] next to [CM Runtime] and download [CM Runtime] on the machine that will be the license server. Once the download is complete, execute [CM Runtime].
Launch [CodeMeterRuntime.exe]. When the screen appears, click [Next].
After reviewing the license agreement, check [I agree to the license agreement] and click [Next].
Select the desired installation destination and click [Next].
Change [Network Server][Remote WebAdmin Access] to [Install on all local hard drives] and click [Next].
Click [Install]. The installation will begin.
Once the installation is complete, click [Finish]. This completes the setup of the CM Runtime.
[3] Set up the License Key
The procedure differs for hardware keys and software keys. Please select the appropriate option.

Click on [License Server Management Screen].
* If clicking does not display the License Server Management Screen, please ensure that [CodeMeter Runtime Server] and [CmWebAdmin] are running in Windows Services.
Set [Network Server] to [Enabled]. Click [Apply]. Close the screen.
[5] Configure the License
From here, operate the machine where FLEXSCHE is executed.
Click on [License Search Settings (e-config.xml)] and launch [e-config].
Configure the [License Settings].
Set the license type in the License Settings to [CM/Software Key License].
Select [License Server on Network Only] for the license search order.
Please enter the server name.
If necessary, set the program number. Click [Save] and then click [Close].
Launch FLEXSCHE, open [About] from [Help], and confirm that the license information has been updated. This completes the license setup.
